Tim Ferriss is running a contest for his fictional Cockpunch characters. The contest centers on using AI tools to create representations of his creations. I don’t own a Cockpunch NFT, however, Tim was gracious enough to allow anyone entering the contest to base their submissions off any Cockpunch NFT in his wallet.
The main requirement of the contest is to document my creative process and make it public for others to learn. This blog focuses on the final submissions and their prompts. I created YouTube videos that walk through the process in more detail.
I don’t talk about prompt creation in the videos. Midjourney has a robust FAQ page as well as prompting help in the copious channels on the Midjourney Discord. However, I did create a blog with some quick tips for getting started.
I broke the process into three videos.
Video 1 – Midjourney AI creative prompting
Video 2 – Upscale and sharpen in Topaz Photo AI
Video 3 – Edit in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop
You will see that I go off in several directions throughout the process but end up with 18 submissions I am happy with. I will start with images that best represent my starting point and then you will see me spiral in new directions.
I chose Character #289 as my starting point.
