“If you could undo one thing in history, what would it be?”
We were mountain biking this weekend and Sam dropped this deep question on me. We talked about what we might undo and how it could affect the world today from the grand moments in history to the miniscule moments in our own lives.
His response was he would undo the black plague. That is in interesting thought. How would our world look today if 25 million people survived that would have otherwise died? Would we be more advanced because the plague had killed a thought leader that was now able to survive? How would it change world populations? It opens up so many questions.
After thinking through a lot of possibilities I settled on undoing my fractured wrist. I broke my scaphoid bone during a soccer game in high school that never healed. I have had multiple surgeries on it and today I am faced with the daily pain in my wrist vs. a four corner wrist fusion also know as a scaphoidectomy. I figure if I wait long enough I will be able to get a cyber wrist and hand or they will create a good replacement option for this bone.
We asked my wife this question when we got home and she would undo her dad getting fired from his job in the middle of his career. He did not take it well and it affects his personality to this day.
